Kick-off Meeting in Rimini (IT)

The kick-off meeting of CarerSupport (AAL-2012-5-245) project was organized, during the 15th and 16th of May 2014, by Maggioli S.p.A. – CEDAF Division (the Coordinator) and took place in Rimini, Italy. During the meeting the project objectives were analyzed and an initial plan of actions was designed.

CarerSupport (AAL-2012-5-245) is co-funded by the European Commission under the AAL (Active Assistant Living) Joint Programme (Call 5) and national authorities from Italy, Norway, Romania and Switzerland. The aim of the project is to reduce the fragmentation of existing care service models for secondary users (i.e. informal carers) introducing an integrated ICT platform which will serve as a single entry point to a wide range of services including, but not limited to: (1) training services, (2) psycological support services, and (3) collaboration services (with the involvement of formal carers and health professionals). These services will be exploited in the scope of a value chain that involves both organizations offering these services (i.e. training organizations, care services providers, ICT experts, subject matter experts), and organizations that use these services (notably carers organizations, individual informal carers and care service providers).
